Ever known exactly what tool your business needs, but had no developer to build it, and a budget that stretched to a good coffee at best? Here's the good news: coding is no longer the bottleneck. Being able to say what you want is.
That's called vibe coding. The name sounds casual, but the idea is serious: you describe what you need in your own words, and AI builds it. In this article, we'll look at where it comes from, how it works, what you can use it for as a business owner, and what to watch out for, so it's not just the vibe that's good, but the result too.
What is vibe coding?
Vibe coding is a way of building where you don't write the code. Instead, you say what you want, and artificial intelligence builds it for you. You focus on the goal, the AI handles the execution.
The term was first used by Andrej Karpathy, one of the founding members of OpenAI, in February 2025. His idea was the same: you tune into the "vibe", describe what you want, look at what you got, and if needed, ask for something different. The word spread so fast that Collins Dictionary named it Word of the Year for 2025.
If you had to explain it to your grandma in one sentence: it's like telling a very fast and patient colleague what you need, and they show you the first version in minutes.
How is it different from no-code?
Classic no-code tools also skip programming, but there you build from templates and drag-and-drop blocks, and you have to learn the interface. With vibe coding, the interface is the conversation itself. You don't hunt for the right menu item, you simply describe what you want.
How does it work in practice?
In Suara, you get from idea to finished app in three steps.
Say what you want. In the chat window, you describe what you need in your own words. No jargon required.

The AI builds it. Suara interprets your request, asks about the details if needed, then creates the first working version. You see the result in the preview right away.

Test and refine. Click around, try it out, and tell it what to change: "make the button bigger", "ask for a phone number too". Keep polishing until it's exactly what you wanted.

The secret is in step three. Vibe coding isn't one magic sentence, it's a conversation. The first version is rarely perfect, but after the second or third round, it's your app looking back at you.
What can vibe coding do for a business owner?
It means you don't have to adapt to software, the software adapts to you. A few ideas for what you can build:
A website or landing page for a new service, offer or event, without collecting three quotes for it.
Small internal apps that used to live in spreadsheets and sticky notes: inventory tracking, client lists, job sheets, holiday planners.
Calculators and forms for your clients: quote calculators, appointment requests, sign-up forms.
Automations between the systems you already use, so your invoicing tool, your webshop and the rest finally play on the same team.
What they have in common: all of these used to cost money, weeks, or a developer friend's goodwill. Now they cost a well-described idea.
5 tips to turn the vibe into results
A good prompt isn't long, it's clear. Here's how to get the most out of AI:
Start with the goal, not the features. "I want my clients to be able to book appointments themselves" tells the AI more than a list of buttons.
Say who will use it. You, your colleague or your client? On mobile or desktop? This shapes both the look and the behaviour.
Give an example. If there's a site or app whose style you like, explain why. Specifics always beat "make it modern".
Refine in small steps. Ask for one or two changes at a time. That way you see what changed, and it's easier to step back.
Try it as a client would. Click through everything as if you were seeing it for the first time. If you can break it, so can others.
Weak prompt: "Make a website for my company."
Strong prompt: "Create a one-page website for my beauty salon. It should list my services with prices, show a few photos, and have a form where people can request an appointment. It should look good on mobile too, with a clean and friendly feel."
What to watch out for when vibe coding
Vibe coding gives you more freedom, but it doesn't do the thinking for you. A few things are still on your desk:
You know your business. The AI builds what you ask for. If the process isn't clear in your head, it won't be clear in the app either. Write down for yourself, in one sentence, what it needs to do.
Take care of data. If you collect client data (name, email, phone number), think through who can access it and what you use it for. Data protection rules apply, vibe or no vibe.
Test before going live. The first version may look good, but bugs show up during use. Try it yourself, and show it to one or two clients too.
Start small. You don't have to rebuild your whole business on day one. One small tool that works is worth more than a half-finished big system.
In short: the AI is your hands, but you're the brain. And that's how it should be.
What will you prompt today?
Vibe coding isn't something to read about, it's something to try. You have two weeks to find out for free what you can build with Suara, without a developer, in your own words.
Think of the one tool your business is missing most. Describe it. Suara will build it.
Frequently asked questions about vibe coding
Do I need programming skills?
No. The whole point of vibe coding is that you describe what you want in natural language, in your own words. The AI writes the code.
How long does it take to build an app?
The first working version is usually ready in minutes. How much refining it needs after that depends on how complex your project is.
So are developers no longer needed?
They're still needed for large, custom systems. But for everyday business tools, like a form, a calculator or a landing page, you no longer have to wait weeks.
